AdSnipe.io ("we", "us", or "our") operates the AdSnipe.io website and the AdSnipe Chrome Extension. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email from Google's OAuth service.

Saved Ad Data: When you use the extension to save ads from Meta Ad Library, we store the ad content (text, images, video URLs, advertiser name, landing page URL, start date, and platform information) associated with your account.

Usage Data: We may collect basic usage statistics such as the number of ads saved. We do not track your browsing history or activity outside of Meta Ad Library.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your browsing history
We do not collect personal data from websites other than Meta Ad Library
We do not collect financial information or payment details directly
We do not collect data from your Facebook account or any social media profile
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the AdSnipe service
To sync your saved ads between the extension and the dashboard
To generate competitor analysis reports you request
To authenticate you when you log in

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL with Row Level Security). Media files (ad images/videos) are stored on Cloudflare R2. All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. Access to your data is protected by authentication tokens and row-level security policies — only you can see your saved ads.

5. Chrome Extension Permissions

The AdSnipe Chrome Extension requests the following permissions:

storage: To store your login state and saved ad data locally
activeTab: To interact with the currently active Meta Ad Library tab
scripting: To inject the save button and ad analysis UI on Meta Ad Library pages
alarms: To periodically sync saved ads to the server
downloads: To download ad videos and generated reports to your computer
identity: To enable Google Sign-In authentication

The extension only activates on Meta Ad Library pages (facebook.com/ads/library). It does not run on any other websites.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase: Database and authentication (hosted in AWS)
Cloudflare R2: Media file storage
Vercel: Website and API hosting
Google OAuth: Optional sign-in method

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your saved ads are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual ads from the dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your saved data through the dashboard
Delete your saved ads at any time
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Export your data

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website.
